Unions Further Demonstrate Why They Should Not Be In Charge of Education

As a former teacher, 33 years in public High School and college levels, I am alarmed at the un-American actions of Wisconsin teacher's unions and their protests of Governor Scott Walker visit to a successful 'Choice' school in Milwaukee, WI. We are a Republic with democratic principles not a socialist mob. We had an election and Walker won. If they don't like it, they can vote him out in the next election - that's the way responsible Americans act!

The following video gives evidence that our children would be better off without the WEA and NEA in charge (click here for video).

One protester,  a former member of the Milwaukee School Board, was there because she wanted to have another chance to yell at the governor. She said that as a mother, she was offended that Walker used a child-serving institution for political purposes."This guy has no business being around children," she said. After watching video shots of the protest, it is obvious who "has no business being around children"!

The police had to arrest several protesters and the school was vandalized by 'super-gluing' the door locks to block entry.

These 'socialists' need to know that our children do not belong to them, but to us parents! Government and their union cronies should not be given control over our children or their education. If parents in Milwaukee want to have their children attend a "choice" school that is their right and no union should have a say in the decision.
